New Archbishop for Detroit - to be announced by April 15th????

Thomas the American Papist has a quote up from Rocco at Whispers in the Loggia about Cardinal Adam Maida's retirement and replacement. We don't get the name, but a "pro-tem" has been named for the time being - Bishop Reiss.

I'll have more on this later. Until I can get to my home computer, please follow the link to Tom's post.

EDIT 8:30 PM: A comment from "Timmay" is worth bringing out here since I may have misunderstood what Thomas posted. In the combox we read:

A slight correction... Bishop Reiss is not being named Archbishop pro-tem or taking on any of the Cardinal's duties. That comment was made in reference to Msgr. John Zenz. A letter was sent out to the priests of the diocese earlier this week (and will be detailed in this week's Michigan Catholic) that Msgr. Zenz will be assigned pastor of Holy Name in Birmingham effective July 1. Therefore, his current duties as vicar-general and moderator of the curia will be handed over to Bishop Reiss until a permanent replacement is named.
