Other Reasons to Come to Grotto on Assumption - August 15, 2006

Even if you feel the need to assist at Mass at your own parish on Assumption - this Tuesday, stop by to see the sunrise. Candles are available as early as 7 or 7:30, if I recall, and you can light and place them all around the Grotto to add to this gorgeous display of prayers intentions be lifted. More on this tomorrow. This was taken about 6:45 am when I first arrived there last year. Click on any photo to see an enlargement.

The chasuble used by the celebrant of each of four Masses is the one seen below. It is quite old and was recently restored. If any readers know the history of this chasuble please add it into the comment box or email me.

Of course, you can come in the afternoon for the Sacrament of the Sick, followed by Benediction - all in the Grotto (weather permitting).

God willing, there will be more photographs tomorrow!

See the details for the day, including those pertaining to events and free shuttle service to/from De LaSalle High School in Warren.
